Fandi Angga Saputra (born 1996) is an artist living in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta in 2020. He started with drawing as a hobby, trying different styles like caricature and calligraphy, and now focuses on painting. His surrealist paintings have been shown in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Fandi’s artwork is inspired by his childhood in a village, where he loved exploring nature, walking on grass, and observing plants and animals—activities that are now harder to enjoy because of industrial growth, less green space, and damage to the environment. Using acrylic paint and bright colors, he observes people, plants, and animals around him and turns them into unique shapes and figures to create harmony in his paintings. He hopes his art can bring back memories of nature and encourage people to love and protect it.
